Reaching YOUR HANDS

The Censal Hotel is right in the centre of Villajoyosa, opposite the Valor chocolate shop and the Censal city park. This popular park is all that stands between the hotel and the main beach. An unbeatable location which means that guests can enjoy the town’s commercial area and all its services, and also access the beach simply by crossing the park. Getting back from the seafront is even easier, since there are escalators in the park to avoid climbing up the slope. Just two minutes will get you from the beach to the hotel, almost without having to walk! There is also a taxi stand at the entrance to the hotel.

DAY TRIPS: ON YOUR DOORSTEP

The town of Villajoyosa is a coveted tourist destination in itself. Culturally it has much to offer, with a rich cultural and archaeological heritage. The Vila-Museu, the town’s recently opened museum, houses veritable archaeological treasures. The old town, with its colourful houses, is rich in cultural heritage. Not to be missed is the church/fortress of the Assumption, and the city walls, one of the best preserved on the Mediterranean coast.

Foodwise, the possibilities are endless, with a great choice of restaurants and different food-related events organised throughout the year under the umbrella brand “la Vila Gastronómica” (the gastronomic town). The chocolate museum is a truly sweet pleasure which is not to be missed.

As for leisure and fiestas, the Moors and Christians festival, held between 24th and 31st July, is the most unique, with locals playing out a reenactment of the famous Moorish landing.
